Fuel cell project receives Phase II Grant
Army Research Office awarded $150,000 to Drs. Shuguang Deng, Martha Mitchell and Paul Andersen in chemical engineering department for Phase II of a three-year project entitled “Adsorption and Diffusion of Small Molecules in MOFs for Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells.” The total budget for Phase I and Phase II is $428,000. A high-pressure suspension balance ($250K) was purchased and will be installed next month, and a new XRD spectrometer will also be acquired in the second phase of this project. Two doctoral and two master's students are currently involved in this project.
