RASEM² receives funding to provide assistive technology workshops
The University of Washington has awarded RASEM² a new award in the amount of $48,274 for a proposal entitled, “Computer Career and Assistive Technology Workshops.” The workshops will focus on careers in computing and related areas. Through the use of computer Assistive Technology (AT), the benefits and ease of using a computer become apparent and available to the student. A logical continuation of using computer AT is to pursue a career in a computing related field. Speakers, research, surveys and parental education and involvement related to computer related fields will aid the students regarding the benefits to be gained from pursuing such careers.
